This center has been performing allogeneic transplants since 1983 and has been an NMDP/Be The Match transplant center since September 1988.

The Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center opened June of 2017. This state of the art facility offers patients:
108-bed inpatient treatment center, all private rooms; Outpatient center featuring clinics that includes surgical, medical and radiation oncologists, and support services; 24/7 Infusion Center, which serves as both a treatment center and a 24/7 urgent-care-type facility; High-tech units and operating rooms geared specifically for treating cancer patients; Resource and Wellness Center; Free valet parking; Onsite dining; Healing Arts program, cultivating an atmosphere of hope and resilience.

In addition, there is a Ronald McDonald house adjacent the medical center property as well as local hotels that offer a discounted rate and transportation to and from the Buffett Cancer Center.
