Planning for Transplant Costs >
When planning for a bone marrow or cord blood transplant (also called a BMT), patients and family members often find it helpful to summarize their current income and expenses and to budget for the additional expenses of BMT. Additional expenses include the items and services needed for a transplant, but are not part of the medical procedure. Some expenses are substantial, such as relocation and travel costs, child-care, prescriptions, and co-payments.
