The Minneapolis Star Tribune named the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) to its list of top workplaces in Minnesota. The top workplaces were determined based on surveys about the workplace completed by employees. According to the Star Tribune, top workplaces are not only better places to work but are more likely to be successful than peer organizations.
The recognition noted that the NMDP operates the Be The Match Registry, the world's largest listing of potential marrow donors and donated cord blood units. Some employees that completed the survey were quoted, saying, “I feel like my opinions are valued, and I'm asked to participate in meetings and legitimately invited to actively participate. I love working for an organization that is working to save lives!” and, “We don't just make a product, we help to save lives!”
