WISN-TV By Patrick Paolantonio

ABC Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Donor Lori Groen and recipient Jason Lee shared their story with WISN-TV in Milwaukee. Lori and Jason were recently recognized by the National Marrow Donor Program at the organization’s annual Council Meeting for their 24-year friendship that stemmed from a marrow donation. Lori donated marrow to Jason in 1987 when he was only 5 years old. The two remain in constant contact today.

The segment included an interview with Todd Coleman of the BloodCenter of Wisconsin. As a Be The Match recruiter, Todd showed viewers how to join the Be The Match Registry by simply swabbing the inside of their cheeks.
