Nordstrom partnered with Be The Match to raise awareness of the need for more African American potential marrow donors in honor of Black History Month, February 2011. As part of its “Living Well” initiative, Nordstrom gave people an easy way to learn more about becoming a bone marrow donor. By raising awareness and donating funds to add hundreds of new potential marrow donors to the Be The Match Registry, Nordstrom helped increase the chances that people in need of a marrow or umbilical cord blood transplant will receive one.
