Improving donor-patient matching, timing of transplant, pre-transplant treatments and other research that benefits all marrow transplant patients
Developing better treatments for specific diseases
Growing and maintaining the National Marrow Donor Program^® (NMDP) Research Sample Repository, a critical collection of donor-recipient paired blood samples used by scientists worldwide to advance transplant care
Finding solutions to post-transplant complications and supporting outstanding young researchers doing groundbreaking work

Be The Match Foundation supports the NMDP, a leader in global research to help transplant patients. Together with our research arm, the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research^® (CIBMTR), we are at the forefront of marrow and cord blood research. We are engaged in more than 250 active research studies, have data on more than 300,000 transplant recipients and have published more than 500 journal articles.
