A match for every patient
A bone marrow or umbilical cord blood transplant is a life-changing treatment for people with blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, sickle cell and other life-threatening diseases. Transplant may be a patient’s only hope for a cure. But patients need donors who are a close match.
Finding a match
Millions have joined the Be The Match Registry® and stand ready to become bone marrow donors. Yet there are still many patients who cannot find a match, especially patients from racially and ethnically diverse communities.
We need to add more diverse members to the Be The Match Registry to increase the likelihood that all patients will find a match. To learn more, see The Need for Donors.
Your contributions help us recruit diverse donors
You can help us bring hope to every family. The total cost to add a new member to the registry is about $100. While we have secured funding for some of these costs, we still need contributions from individuals and organizations to help create the opportunity for more people to join the registry.
Your gift helps add more members to our registry. Make life-saving transplants a reality for all patients: contribute now.
Corporate partners are critical to our efforts
We need the help of corporations to reach their employees and the public with our message and to cover the costs of growing the Be The Match Registry.
Individuals recruited through corporate partnerships are among the most committed in the world. The growing diversity of the U.S. work force helps us meet the needs of patients from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds.
