You have the power to help save lives
When you help grow the Be The Match Registry®, your efforts can help save the life of any patient in need of a bone marrow transplant. Registry members you recruit will become part of every patient's search for a matching marrow donor. You can make the difference.
Give every patient hope for a cure
Patients in need of a transplant and their families, committed supporters, and partner organizations large and small have recruited many thousands of members to the Be The Match Registry. Yet many patients, especially those of racially and ethnically diverse heritage, do not yet have a match.
In addition to attracting diverse registry members, focus your generous drive efforts on attracting those between the ages of 18 and 44. Patients need young donors! In fact, doctors request donors in the 18-44 age group 90 percent of the time. Each new registry member brings hope to every patient; each could be the one a patient has been hoping for.
We are here to make your drive successful
- Event planning and coordination: Whether you want to conduct a local donor registry drive or recruit nationwide, our experienced recruiters can help you develop, organize and carry out a successful event.
- Spreading the word: Social networking is one of the most powerful ways to educate people about the need for donors and what it means to join the registry and to promote your drive event. Let us show you how.
- Media support: Sharing the stories of patients searching for a match is a powerful tool. Sharing your story or the stories of patients in your community with a large number of people is one of the best ways to get people involved. We can help you prepare to speak to the media and work with them effectively.
- Fundraising: Every $100 you raise helps add another member to Be The Match Registry. We can help you conduct a successful campaign to raise funds critical to growing the registry.
