Northwest Airlines
Northwest Airlines (NWA) AirCares® program provides tremendous relief to families burdened with the cost of transplant. Through AirCares, travelers can donate Northwest WorldPerks miles to the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP). We use these miles to fly patients and their caregivers to their transplant centers. To date, more than 7 million miles have been donated and more than 100 patients and their families have been helped by the AirCares program.
Northwest also helped spread the word about the need to build the Registry and the opportunity to donate AirCares miles. The NMDP was featured in their NWA WorldTraveler inflight magazine in 1997 and will be featured again in fall 2008.
Northwest Airlines has been a valued corporate partner of the NMDP for more than 11 years.
